Flash Driers are used for drying of
wet cakes and powders such as Inorganic Salts, Boric
Acid, Starch, Dye Intermediates, Vinyl Sulphone, Pigments,
Calcium Carbonate, Silica etc. The wet cake is pulverised
and fed to a stream of hot air traveling at high velocity.
Drying takes place immediately due to the very large
surface exposed. The velocity of the hot air is used
to convey the material through a drying duct where
remaining moisture is removed and the dried material
is transfered to a cyclone seprator. A product classifier
ensures only powder leaves the drying chamber.
